In 2019, JSC ‘Gargzdu gelezinkelis’ developed their own fleet of main line locomotives soon after the purchase of their first two main line locomotives 2TE116. At present,‘Gargzdu gelezinkelis’ plans to continue expanding its main line fleet with 2TE116 type locomotives, testament to this intention the company signed a contract to purchase eight vehicles of such type. These locomotives are still in transit .
